Choosing a Service Provider

To help make sure that everything goes smoothly when buying a service you should;

Look for the Green Tick

Any organisation listed in the Leeds Directory that provides a service in the home, garden or one to one in the community, has been checked and vetted by us. These organisations will have a green tick against their listing.

Compare Providers

Whether you are buying in products to help you or are buying in services such as cleaners, carers or builders you should at contact at least three different providers so that you can compare them.

We expect Green Tick providers to supply written quotes on headed paper, breaking down the work to be undertaken and clarifying where VAT applies. We also expect them to produce a receipt or invoice for your records.

Prepare a buying services checklist

To help you keep track of everything, you can print out our useful checklist guide produced by the Leeds Directory.
