Pension Credit

If you are in receipt of state pension you could be eligible to get a top up to your weekly income by claiming Pension Credit.

The average pension credit claim in Leeds is approximately £70 per week, with the exact amount dependent on your current income and capital. Even if you have savings, a private pension or own your own home, you might still be entitled to pension credit.

Claiming Pension Credit can also mean you can get extra help with your:

    • Dental costs
    • Council tax bill
    • Rent
    • Heating costs
    • Prescription costs
    • TV licence (over 75’s)
    • Winter Fuel payments.

The Government estimates that 4 in 10 people eligible for Pension Credit support are not claiming it.
