Finding a service to support you

Click on the type of help you need. You can choose from:

  • Gadgets that can help (like alarms or talking clocks)
  • Help at home (like cleaning or cooking)
  • Help for your family
  • Care at home (like washing or dressing)
  • Help to move around (like wheelchairs or walking aids)
  • Help with money (like paying bills or budgeting)
  • Help to go out (like transport or day trips)
  • Support workers (someone to help you with daily life)

Go to grey “filter your results by” box.

Open the filter called “area” and then you can click on the post code area where you live.

You can click on the kind of help you want.

You can click on the people that the service can support.

When you are ready, apply your filters. 

The search will then show you all the settings that you have ticked on the filter box. You can see each listings contact information. 

Green tick

The search will then show you all the settings that you have ticked on the filter box. You can see each listings contact information. 

Look out for the Green Tick. This means they are checked and safe to use.  

 

Care Quality Commission logo

Look out for the CQC logo. This means they are allowed to give personal care.

Personal care means help you might need to stay clean, safe and well.

You can click “add to favourites” to add the listings to your favourites list (link to how to create favourites list)

You can click on the listings name to see more information.

It will show you all the help the service gives.
