Supporting someone who has been bereaved

Talking about death can be hard. People sometimes worry about saying the wrong thing but don’t let that stop you from helping someone. Just being there can mean a lot.

Helping someone through difficult times can be hard on you too. You might start to feel tired or upset as well. It is important that you take care of yourself so you can stay strong as you keep helping. 

Look After Yourself Too

Helping someone who is very sad can make you feel lots of emotions too. It’s important to take care of yourself so you stay strong.

If you feel upset or tired, talk to someone you trust. Getting support for yourself is just as important.
