Leeds Directory is a website that helps people to find support, services and activities that can help them to live well in Leeds. 

You can: 

There are lots of services, activities and events listed on the website. These include help with: 

  • Your home and garden
  • One-to-one support
  • Staying connected 

Services that have been checked and approved have a Green Tick. 

You can also read reviews and star ratings from other people who have used the services. 

All reviews are checked to make sure they are real. 

Leeds Directory is run by Leeds City Council. 

If a company offers help in your home, garden, or out in the community, they must have a Green Tick before we list them.

A Green Tick means we have checked the company to help keep you safe. You can trust that they meet our standards.

Leeds Directory is for people living in Leeds or people who are supporting a friend or family member who lives in Leeds 
It helps you find support, services, and activities to help you live well.  

We also have special sections with helpful information about: 

As well as organisations, services, activities and events Leeds Directory has extra tools to help you to live well: 

It asks questions about your life and shows you where you might need help. 

It then gives you ideas for support that could make things easier. 

Where possible, it links to services in Leeds Directory so you can see your options.

Leeds Directory checks all services that help in the home, garden, or one-to-one in the community. 
These services have a Green Tick.

We also list other services and community places that we don’t check in the same way. Even though we don’t vet these, we can still help you decide if they’re right for you. 

The listing gives useful information, but you can also call our helpline for advice.

You can provide feedback or make a complaint about a provider by;  

  • Submitting a star rating and review 
  • submitting an online form via ourcontact form

  • calling our helpline on 0113 378 4610 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
  • writing to us at Leeds Directory Team, Leeds City Council, 5th Floor East, Merrion House, 110 Merrion Centre, Leeds, LS2 8BB  

We record and investigate all complaints. 
We check them using the Leeds Directory Code of Good Practice.  

What we do next depends on:  

  • What the complaint is about 
  • If the service has had complaints before  

We will work with you to try and sort things out.  

If needed, we can also help you take your complaint further.  This might mean passing it on to another service which can help.

If you feel we haven’t listened to your feedback, you can make a complaint. 

You can do this through Leeds City Council’s complaints process or by calling 0113 222 4405. 

You don’t have to use the website to get help. 

You can also:

  • Ask us to send you information by email or by post 

Yes, you can make a favourites list on the Leeds Directory website. 
This helps you save pages to look at later or send by email to print as a booklet. 

Here’s how: 

  1. To save a page, click the ‘Add to favourites’ button. 
    You can also use the ‘Create favourites list’ menu at the top of the page. 

  1. When you’re ready to print, click ‘Create booklet’ in the same menu. 
    You’ll be asked to add your details and send the booklet to your email. 

  1. You’ll get an email with your booklet as a PDF. 
    You can then print it from your computer. 

Yes, choose Accessibility from the toolbar on the homepage and from there you can choose alternative languages, change the font size and change the contrast of the directory.

To add your organisation's details, complete a registration form relevant to the service or support that you offer. 

If you organisation is already listed on the Directory and you want to change some of your information, go to your listing then use the Suggest a Change button. You can find your listing by entering your service / business name into our search bar.

The council cannot promote any political party but if your party is holding a non-political activity or event, you can add this to the activities calendar.

Star Ratings and Reviews let you see what other customers thought of the service they have received.
